We offer over 50 award-winning classes, clinics & special events covering everything from obedience training (basic to advanced), behavior modification, sports, fun & games and public appearances. Regardless of your dog’s needs, we have a class for you!

FEATURED CLASSES

– OFF LEASH PUPPY –

OFF-LEASH CLASS (10 – 20 weeks)
Open for PUPPIES, PUPPIES, PUPPIES between 10 and 20 weeks of age and at least 10 days past their first DHPP vaccination! Off-leash Puppy is a socialization and “life with a dog” class designed to establish a foundation of success for young pups. Learn how to set-up your home for a puppy, prevent problem behaviors, house train, crate train, health and wellness and critical socialization skills. Learn More >>

OFF-LEASH PUPPY OFFERINGS:

Saturday, 11:00 – 11:45 AM
Sunday, 2:30 – 3:15 PM

These are open enrollment classes

1 – Purchase a Class Pass (one pass works for all off-leash puppy classes offered).
2 – Reserve the class or classes you want to attend (drop-in calendar link is sent to you once the pass is purchased).
3 – Come to your reserved sessions. Learn. Have Fun.

Classes are divided into appropriate play groups.

IMPORTANT – For off-leash puppy, you pay for 4 weeks of class and you can attend whichever works for you from week to week. You do not need to let us know if you’re missing a class, switching classes, or coming to two different classes in one week. You have until your pup is 21 weeks of age to complete the 4 weeks in whatever combination is easiest for you.

NO CLASSES ON MAJOR HOLIDAYS.

PLEASE NOTE:  Classes are NOT appropriate for reactive or aggressive dogs. Reactivity includes: barking; lunging; growling; or snapping; or dogs with any history of aggression.

S.T.A.R. PUPPY CLASS is the first step in the AKC's Canine Good Citizenship program and is where we first take basic obedience and manners behaviors and reinforce and improve these in a setting with other dogs and people, i.e., distractions. These 6 week classes are open to pups aged 5 to 12 months at time of graduation. Learn more about the specifics of S.T.A.R. HERE.

SPECIALTY & SEASONAL OFFERINGS: Designed to address specific behavioral needs most often requested by our customers. Many of these classes are seasonal and are offered on a limited basis.

Drive & Impulse Control | Cost: $150 | Class Description

PUSHY PUP?!?!… If your dog wants something, do all manners and common sense go out the window? Do they want it NOW regardless of the consequences?!?!! Patient, calm and polite behaviors are more effective than jumping, pushing, pawing or barking. These behaviors are learned and, just like teaching our human children, should be at the top of our training priority list.

Prerequisite – None. Not appropriate for aggressive dogs.

Heelin' Hounds: Leash Walking | Cost: $150 | Class Description

PERFECT FOR SPRINGTIME! Tired of getting pulled around or tangled in the leash? Wish you could go for a nice run or walk together? This popular course is designed to help you and your dog master the art of leash walking. When weather permits, class are held at predetermined locations in the area.

Prerequisite – Not appropriate for reactive or aggressive dogs.

K-9 Kids | Cost: $150 | Class Description

This class is designed specifically for children aged 8-14 and partly utilizes the wonderful book – Good Dog: Kids Teach Kids About Dog Behavior & Training. K-9 Kids helps build a lifelong bond between your child and their dog as they begin to learn and understand dog behavior, how to safely play with a dog, and how to teach a dog good manners and positive behaviors, such as sit and off.

Confident Canine Clinic | Cost: $250 | Class Description

Our Confident Canine Clinic is a behavior modification group class designed for dogs who are generally anxious in new situations, or around new people or dogs.

By improving your handling skills and helping you to anticipate, prevent and, when necessary, redirect away from fearful situations, this clinic will increase your pup’s confidence and help teach alternative behaviors. Through positive reinforcement techniques, desensitization, and exposure to different activities, we will help you build your dog’s confidence by changing the way they perceive and ultimately react to new experiences.

This clinic is NOT appropriate for aggressive / reactive dogs. It is designed for dogs who react out of fear by cowering, shaking, shutting down, running away or hiding.

Agility for FUN - OPEN ENROLLMENT CLASSCost: Class Pass | Class Description Designed to introduce you and your dog to the fun world of agility including chutes, A-frame, tire jump, etc… all within the confines of our temperature controlled, padded floor training room. This class is taught JUST FOR FUN and is not a preparation for competition agility. Prerequisite – Not appropriate for reactive or aggressive dogs.

Intermediate Agility - OPEN ENROLLMENT CLASSCost: Class Pass | Class Description For those who have mastered the skills of our beginner class and who want to proceed with their agility instruction. This course consists of control and performance skills and confidence building on obstacles, course running, handler techniques, jump work, weave poles, body awareness skills and more all within the confines of our temperature controlled, padded floor training room. Prerequisite – Not appropriate for reactive or aggressive dogs.
