This tract focuses on the modification and removal of behavioral issues including dog aggression, anxiety, nervousness, resource guarding, territorial aggression, self-control and more.

Classes within this tract generally address a specific behavior or two.

Behavioral Adjustment Training (Level I & II)

This two part course, focuses on reactivity while outdoor walking. Meets a numerous outdoor locations near K-9 Coach.

Heelin’ Hounds

Introduction to Nose Work I

A new, fast growing sport that utilizes dog’s natural instincts to find hidden scents. GREAT for teaching your dog to work as a team with the handler, focusing drive and improving overall life skills. This fun, exciting class will begin in a basic pattern and work toward detection scents.

Introduction to Nose Work II

Requires completion of Intro. to Nose Work I. Focus on interior and exterior searches in multiple locations around our facility. Prepare for odor. Once registered, all additional information will be sent.

Reactive Rover

3 week long seminar that focuses on dogs who are reactive to other dogs while on leash. Designed to give owners the skills they need to succeed when handling their dog while other dogs approach and walk by. We will also focus on small areas such as lobbies.

Outdoor Adventures

This exciting new class focuses on the benefits of exercising with your dog and is designed to provide training in real life situations with real life distractions.

We meet at various locations throughout the city including Chastain Park, the Chattahoochee River Preserve, the Polo Fields and others.

Students must be able to walk at least 3 miles and must have completed a basic obedience class and receive K-9 Coach instructor approval. Workout clothing and tennis / athletic shoes are required (for you but not the dog).

This Click is for Tricks

This class will build the bond with your dog as you learn to guide and motivate in a fun way. Trick class offers a great way to interact with your dog and teach alternate behaviors. Teach your dog how to learn. Some examples of tricks we will work on are speak, crawl, roll over, jump, beg, shake, spin, pray and more.
